County 57 is an emerging, self-governing community founded by the people who live, work, and raise families in the heart of our last best place. We are not career politicians or distant bureaucrats; we are a united coalition of rural neighbors, teachers, small business owners, ranchers, farmers, loggers, and everyday residents….who share a deep commitment to the land and to one another.
We came together because we share a fundamental belief: government works best when it is rooted in the community it serves. For too long, our communities rural voices have been diluted and overlooked by a distant county seat. Missoula City residents control both a vote in their own form of city government, and all countywide elections. County 57 is our collective effort to bring true, responsive, and representative local governance back to the people of these valleys.
